West Coast Fever will take to the court on Wednesday night in a Retro inspired dress as they battle it out against the WA All-Stars team.
The dress, inspired by The Perth Orioles branding, works to celebrate the history of elite netball in Western Australia, featuring the names of the Perth Orioles players.
The Club saw this moment, as we welcome the return of elite netball, as the perfect opportunity to look back and honour the athletes who have come before them.
Former Perth Orioles player and now West Coast Fever Head Coach, Stacey Marinkovich said it is great to be able to acknowledge past players as they are the foundation of our club.
“As a former Orioles player, my maiden name features on the dress,” said Marinkovich.
“Anytime you have your name on a playing dress whether as a past or present player it is a huge honour.”
“It is fantastic to see our club recognising the past and acknowledging that when you wear the Fever dress it’s not about you as an individual. We are a club and when you wear the dress you represent netball in WA. It is about the skills and qualities that you bring to improve that representation.”
West Coast Fever is honoured to host the first live sporting match in WA with a crowd and encourages you to show your support and buy a ticket for the return of elite netball at RAC Arena!
