The last time the two sides met was the 2025 Grand Final at Rod Laver Arena, where Fever were pipped at the post by a single point in the final seconds of the decider.
The Vixens are currently undefeated, and after their six-goal win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds, sit at the top of the ladder.
West Coast Fever have five wins from six games, coming off the back of a 12-goal victory over the Melbourne Vixens last week.
RAC Arena is an unshakable fortress for West Coast Fever, who have not lost a game in front of their home crowd since Round One 2025. The Team will be looking to the Green Army to incite as much passion as possible as the reigning premiers enter their home court.
Green Army, make sure you are in your seats early this weekend for the ANZAC Day pre-match ceremony.
Head-to-head
All eyes will be on Fran Williams and sharpshooter Kiera Austin, with the pair renowned for their high intensity and physical match‑ups. Both athletes are currently in outstanding form.
The feeding capabilities of Hannah Mundy in Wing Attack will be under pressure from Fever captain Jess Anstiss, known for her relentless work in the mid-court in keeping her opposition at bay.
In the goal circle, Romelda Aiken‑George will look to dominate against Vixens defender Jo Weston. Weston’s long reach poses a constant threat, but both experienced veterans will be giving it their all.
From the Court
West Coast Fever star defender Fran Williams said that this match is crucial, with the Vixens currently undefeated six rounds in.
“We want to go and challenge the best and currently that’s where they’re sitting,” she said.
“That’s the fuel for us; I'll be locked in on Kiera Austin and not letting her get too up and about.”
