Sunday’s game is also the second First Nations Round of 2025 which Fever will host alongside Match Day Partner, Shooting Stars.
In Round 12, Fever equalled the Adelaide Thunderbirds record of 10 consecutive Super Netball wins when they powered past the Lightning in a 15-goal victory.
Fever have set themselves up with a promising home run, their win on Saturday has guaranteed a top-two finish for the side as they look to play their final two regular games at home.
Despite missing out on finals, the Giants have not given up on their season, defeating the Queensland Firebirds last week by five goals.
Superstar defender Kadie-Ann Dehaney will also reach her 100th National League Game this week in front of her beloved Green Army.
Last time they met in Round 7, the Giants produced a mid-game scare with a commendable fight back before Fever won by nine.
Head to Head
Casey Kopua has entered the Giants side and brought an invaluable level of experience. She will face the greatest of all time, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard, in an SSN setting for the first time this Sunday, having already taken to the court back in the ANZ Championship.
n her milestone game, Dehaney will likely face a rotation of Goal Shooters, one of those being Giants Co-Captain Jo Harten. Dehaney stole two Deflections and two Rebounds in Round 12 and will be looking to bring that type of performance against Harten.
Fellow Giants Co-Captain Jamie-Lee Price is known for her on the body style in the mid-court. She will have to keep up with Jordan Cransberg in Centre, who last week managed 28 Feeds and 18 Goal Assists in a demonstration of her speed.
From the Coach
Head Coach Dan Ryan said there is a really positive feeling amongst the Club.
“This weekend is going to be a massive challenge against the Giants, reflecting on last weekend we’ve been doing some great stuff and have identified what we need to improve,” Ryan said.
Speaking on the possibility of breaking the SSN record, Dan said the team are focused on acting business as usual
“The consecutive wins are great to have in our back pocket but for us it’s more around the constant growth and improvement we’re showing in our game.”
