West Coast Fever has today confirmed that midcourter Ingrid Colyer is not able to be offered a contract for the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season.
The Club has committed to working with the midcourter to rehabilitate her knee so that she can return to Suncorp Super Netball playing standard.
Colyer’s season was cut short earlier this year; a cruel blow for the Margaret River product, who was having one of her best individual seasons.
West Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich said Colyer had an incredible pathway to becoming a fully contracted player, following her joining the Club as a replacement player in 2013.
“Ingrid has been a wonderful servant to West Coast Fever,” Marinkovich said.
“She brings an incredible passion and energy to our Club, and there’s no doubt that she’s a favourite amongst our Members and fans.”
“As a Club, we have some of the best rehabilitation and recovery processes in the sport, and we’re committed to working alongside Ingrid to ensure she makes a full recovery.”
The Club would like to thank Ingrid and her family for their contributions since 2013 and wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
