The game kicked off with fast pace from both teams, but Fever were able to get the ball to Olivia Wilkinson for the first goal.
Fran Williams defensive pressure was key, holding Vixen Kiera Austen at bay for the centre pass and retrieving the defensive rebounds under the post.
Shanice Beckford worked her away around the height of Jo Weston, and a super shot on the siren by Wilkinson had Fever down by one goal at quarter time.

A long-range goal from Beckford kicked off the second quarter.
Zoe Cransberg was determined in the centre bib, finding a deflection and putting the pressure on. Cransberg was joined by Fever invitee Clara Wigley in the mid-court, who entered the game for the first time and provided plenty of options.
Ruth Aryang continued her successful weekend, gaining defensive rebounds in partnership with Williams.

Fever invitee Sloan Burton came on in the third quarter in Goal Attack, complimenting Wilkinson in goals.
Wigley continued her strong presence on court with a deflection, alongside the defensive prowess of Aryang and Training Partner Caitlyn Brown who had an unbelievable intercept in the final minutes.
Captain Jess Anstiss was everywhere, providing her teammates with options up and down the court in centre.
Multiple fast super shots from the Vixens widened the gap for three quarter time.

A beautiful intercept by Alice Teague-Neeld brought the ball into Fever’s end for a successful goal.
Williams and Brown put enough pressure on in defence to produce Vixens mistakes in goals.
Despite hardworking effort by every girl in green on court until the very end, it just wasn’t enough to take down the Vixens in Ballarat.
Fever now return home in preparation for the official Suncorp Super Netball pre-season tournament, the Team Girls Cup held in Adelaide.
