Fever took control of the first minutes of the game as young gun Olivia Wilkinson took eight goals for the quarter, joined by Shanice Beckford’s two.
Kadie-Ann Dehaney had the tough job of keeping Swifts shooting superstar Grace Neweke under wraps. Dehaney found two rebounds under the post, alongside partner Sunday Aryang.
The Swifts took advantage of the supershot period as Helen Housby scored two supershots to give the visitors the advantage at the first break.

Alice Teague-Neeld was on fire in the second quarter with 17 Feeds and eight Goal Assists. Also in the mid-court, Fran Williams was working the Wing Defence bib with one intercept and a deflection.
Ruth Aryang came on in Goal Keeper, joining sister Sunday who had two deflections for the quarter. Both Aryangs were agile around Swifts Nweke and Houbsy.
Wilkinson continued to be crucial in goals, with two super shots and eight goals for the quarter as Fever kept the Swifts lead to eight goals at the half.

The Swifts took control of the game in the third quarter with their attacking side of Paige Hadley and Verity Simmons firing the ball into Nweke.
Mwai Kumwenda made her Fever debut in front of an ecstatic crowd of 8,353 fans and quickly followed her entrance with a super shot.
Wilkinson kept impressing in the final minutes of the quarter with two successive super shots to tighten the margin.

Dehaney and Ruth Aryang continued to be a pressurised force in defence, both taking a rebound after a missed shot from Nweke.
Teague-Neeld took home 42 Feeds for the game, an impressive effort alongside Jess Anstiss and Jordan Cransberg in the mid-court.
Despite Fever’s best efforts, the Swifts pushed through with powerful final quarter to win the game.
Fever now turn their attention to Round Two against the Queensland Firebirds on Saturday, 12 April at Nissan Arena.
