Our shooters displayed resilience in the final minute with numerous Super-Shot attempts to gain the lead at the end but were unable to convert opportunities to pinch a win at the final whistle.

The first quarter was a see-saw affair with both sides trading goals early on.
Fowler-Nembhard notched a big Super Shot before a rebound from Kadie-Ann Dehaney at the other end saw Fever quickly travel to the shooting circle, where Shanice Beckford nailed a Super Shot of her own and saw the side head into the first-term break with a four-goal lead.

Firebirds made a few changes and came racing out of the blocks in the second term, taking the lead and nullifying Fever’s attacking prowess.
Tippah Dwan scored three Super-Shots in Power time to help the Firebirds to a four-goal lead at the main break.

The introduction of Olivia Wilkinson and Alice Teague-Neeld injected some much-needed legs into the side after the break as their delivery to Fowler-Nembhard helped to close the gap.
The Goal Shooter scored a huge Super-Shot on the siren to bridge the deficit to just two goals heading into final break.

Fever kept pushing but the Firebirds managed to keep their noses in front as the game crept closer to its end.
Ruth Aryang won the ball back with an impressive interception late in the final term providing a chance for Fever to edge ahead at the death with a super shot, but Fever was unable to convert.
Fever must now await the outcome of the Swifts and Mavericks game to determine their next opponent for Sunday
