This is Fever’s sixth consecutive finals campaign and their seventh in eight years, an unbelievable effort for the Club.
In their 12th straight win, Fever took down the Melbourne Vixens in the last round of the regular season by 11 goals.
The Green Army broke another Regular Season Attendance Record with 12,813 fans filling RAC Arena, creating a new record for a second week running.
The Swifts had a close call in their Round 14 match-up with the Queensland Firebirds, winning by four goals in an extra-time battle.
In 2025, both sides have won a face-off against each other. The Swifts opened the season with a shock 18-goal thriller, but Fever found their vengeance in Round Nine with an 11-goal win.
Head-to-Head
The Swifts list will look very different in finals with gun defender Teigan O’Shannassy out for the remainder of the season with a back injury. All eyes will be on whether co-captain Paige Hadley will return after missing Round 14 with a lower-leg complaint.
When Grace Nweke and Kadie-Ann Dehaney play against each other, no one can look away. Last time they met, Nweke shot 48 goals but was held down to an 81 per cent accuracy rate thanks to Dehaney’s pressure. The defender also notched an Intercept, two Rebounds and six Deflections.
Helen Housby’s super shot skills separate her from the rest, but Sunday Aryang is currently producing one sensational performance after another. Last week alone she notched two Rebounds, three Deflections and four Intercepts.
Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard has ended the regular season as the leading goal scorer for the League, despite missing the first two games. Last time she faced the Swifts and Sarah Klau in defence, she shot at a near perfect 99 per cent accuracy rate.
From the Coach
Head Coach Dan Ryan said the Swifts are a top-quality side who set the benchmark in the first half of the season.
“We had a tough performance against them at the start of the season but played really well that second time around. We just need to make sure all seven of our positions are firing when we face them,” Ryan said.
“Our training environment is what best prepares us, we’re hardened enough to know what it takes to stand up in finals and I’m just excited to see the Team thrive out there.”
