Fever led by 10 goals during Power Time of the third quarter until three supershots from the home team cut the margin to just four goals at the final change.
The Thunderbirds then scored four of the first five goals in the last quarter to reduce the margin to one goal before taking the lead with three and a half minutes left in the match.
The decider then lifted level as both teams tried to find the winning advantaged. It wasn’t until the Thunderbirds found a way to goal in the dying moments and Georgie Horjus converted that the match was won.
Fever were led by young gun Olivia Wilkinson who scored 26 goals and three supershots, supported by Shanice Beckford with seven goals.
Jordan Cransberg’s injection in the centre after quarter time helped Fever to build their lead in the second quarter. She finished the match with 18 Feeds, 11 Goal Assists and a Deflection.
In defence, Sunday Aryang led the way with four Deflections, three Gains and an Intercept.
Fever finish the tournament with a three and one record as they prepare for the start of the season and their next assignment is a Pre-Season clash with the West Coast Fever Reserves on Saturday, 29 March at the Gold Netball Centre.
They will then face the NSW Swifts in Round One of Suncorp Super Netball at RAC Arena on Sunday, 6 April.
