West Coast Fever is today pleased to announce that Suzanne Ardagh has been elected Chair of the West Coast Fever Board.
Joining the Board in 2018, Suzanne is an experienced Executive and Director with over 20 years’ experience serving on boards in a range of sectors including the Arts, Sport, Health, Community Services and Commerce.
During her time with the Club, West Coast Fever have played in two grand finals, including last year when the team relocated to a Queensland hub to compete in the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball League.
Suzanne recently chaired the newly created WCF Compliance Committee and said she is up to the challenge of guiding the Club into a stronger and brighter new chapter.
“I’ve accepted this leadership role with the Club to deliver on the promises we’ve made to our members, fans and stakeholders to demonstrate the Fever is a Club of integrity, honesty and courage,” Ardagh said.
“There is no doubt our Club has faced it’s most challenging period in recent months, but now is the time to look forward and rebuild the trust and support of our fans and the broader WA community.”
“Since we were made aware of the breaches, we have initiated a review of Governance & Operational processes and systems, some of which we have already commenced implementing. These changes will result in a more rigorous process, increased education, awareness and increased oversight of compliance related matters by the WCF Board.”
The West Coast Fever Board currently comprises Suzanne Ardagh (Chair), Kylie Chamberlain, Fran Lawrence, Chris Massey together with two recent new additions Jill Powell and Craig Heatley who bring with them range of experience spanning sport and professional services.
Suzanne plans to use her role to build on the Club’s position as a leader in elite women’s sport with a focus on the increasing professionalisation required of successful female sporting Clubs.
