West Coast Fever are proud to announce the four athletes who will complete their extended squad for the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season.
Shannon Eagland, Donnell Wallam, Courtney Kruta and Sloan Burton have all been named, and will train with the 10 contracted athletes across the course of the season.
Eagland continues her involvement with the Club, after being a contracted athlete from 2017 to 2020.
Wallam is currently playing in England for the Leeds Rhinos, and will return to Perth upon completion of the season, with the young gun shooter winning her second Jill McIntosh Medal in as many years in 2020.
Kruta made her National League debut last year during West Coast Fever’s Preliminary Final win over the Sunshine Coast Lightning, having joined the squad as an injury replacement player.
Burton joins the Fever squad for the first time, having been part of the Club’s academy, and also playing an integral role in the Curtin-Hamersley Comets rise to the Grand Final of the 2020 Gold Industry Group WA Netball League.
West Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich welcomed the four athletes.
“We’re very proud to have Shannon, Donnell, Courtney and Sloan as part of our Club in 2020,” Marinkovich said.
“There’s no doubt that these athletes will bring a strong level of competition into our training environment, and I’m excited to see them not only progress their own games, but also drive the performance of our 10 contracted athletes.”
Eagland, Kruta and Burton have commenced training with the Club, while Wallam will enter the Fever environment once her duties with the Rhinos are complete.
