The Melbourne Vixens put an end to Fever’s six game winning streak in Round 7 when they won by 11 goals at RAC Arena. Fever then won one of their most critical games in Round 13 when they outplayed the Vixens by one-goal in Melbourne.

Fever lost their top of the table clash to then second placed Vixens by 11 goals at RAC Arena.
The first quarter belonged to Shanice Beckford who turned the Vixens lead around with her speed, working around her opposition Emily Mannix. Combine her deflection, intercept and a huge four super shots, Fever led by three at quarter time.
Kelsey Browne entered the court in the second quarter after two weeks off with injury and made her presence known, alongside Olivia Wilkinson who scored two super shots for the quarter after coming on for the Power Five.
Fever got within six goals late in the final term, however, the Vixens finish was too strong, and they took home the points.
Fever outplay Vixens in Melbourne
Fever secured one of the most important wins of their season, defeating the top of the table Melbourne Vixens at John Cain Arena by one-goal.
Fever went direct and fast to Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard right from the first centre pass as they sought to put scoreboard pressure on the Vixens.
The defensive combination of Kadie-Ann Dehaney, Fran Williams and Sunday Aryang was putting the Vixens under pressure and creating gains which Fever were converting at the other end.
Fever led by eight at the start of the Power Five however, four supershots from Lily Graham saw the teams enter the main break all square.
In the fourth quarter, Skipper Jess Anstiss, who had relished the move to Centre for the full four quarters, made a critical intercept which saw Fever get a run on and build a three-goal buffer.
By the time the supershot period started, Fever were up by four and the Vixens were coming hard. Despite three Vixens supershots, Fever were able to stand up in the crucial moments and come home with the win.
