The Ferguson family will be courtside at every West Coast Fever home game this coming season, thanks to HCF Insurance.
As a proud partner of Netball WA and West Coast Fever, HCF Insurance called on the netball community to share their story of a behind the scenes netball hero, with the winner rewarded with a family pass to Fever’s 2020 season home games.
Competition winner Tracey Ferguson said the person who has inspired her most in the netball community is her eleven-year-old daughter, Avah.
“Avah was born with a lot of health issues and known as a 1%, where her issues are not yet shared with another person in the world,” said Ferguson.
However, this has not stopped Avah from shooting for the stars, playing U15 netball, being selected for the Aboriginal All Stars Team, as well as playing in the Red Devils Inclusion team at Southern Districts.
“Avah has shown that no matter what your size, health or ability, netball is for everyone.”
“Netball is all about inclusiveness and it’s kids like her that are the netball heroes in my opinion,” she said.
