The Origin Australian Diamonds featuring West Coast Fever players Sunday Aryang and Courtney Bruce and led by former Fever coach Stacey Marinkovich are celebrating after winning the Quad Series Grand Final 58-46 against the Vitality England Roses.
Played at London's Copper Box Arena at 3.30am WA time on Thursday January 20, the Grand Final was a hard-fought contest, with a stunning 18-5 final quarter performance from the Diamonds sealing the win.
Australia led early before England took control of the contest and led at each break, taking a one-goal advantage into the last quarter before the Diamonds went up a gear to take out a memorable victory.
Bruce and Aryang starred throughout the series, with Aryang making Australian netball history by becoming the first African-born player to represent the Diamonds after debuting in the match against South Africa.
Bruce also starred in that game at Goal Keeper to be named player of the match.
