Here we go, it’s our chance to fight for that Grand Final spot!
Earning the opportunity to host the Major Semi Final at RAC Arena was incredibly important to the team. You have proved week-after-week that you are the best fans in the League and your consistent record-breaking numbers really do fuel us like nothing else.
Today is going to be huge. If we win, we’re straight into the Grand Final in two weeks’ time at Rod Laver Arena.
Our battles with the Swifts this year have been fierce, and we know we’re going to have to be at our very best today to get over the line.
Twelve consecutive wins don’t come without hours of hard work behind the scenes, and every single athlete has been pushing themselves to our Fever standards.
Our defensive end will be locked in, with Sunday Aryang, Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Fran Williams all producing some exceptional performances this season. I know we can count on them to get the job done when they face Grace Nweke and Helen Housby.
As always, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard has been outstanding in the goal circle, whilst Shanice Beckford and Olivia Wilkinson have also been executing their jobs to their highest standards in the Goal Attack bib.
You can’t have a strong attacking line without a mid-court that is in sync and fierce. That is exactly what we have come to expect from captain Jess Anstiss, Alice Teague Neeld and Jordan and Zoe Cransberg.
The end of the season is getting closer and there is plenty of excitement, but as a Club we’re operating business as usual.
We’re trusting the processes that have put us in such a good place already as we head into Finals, and we can’t wait for the Green Army to come along for the journey.
