Cleaver experienced an outstanding 2023, representing Australia at the Youth Commonwealth Games securing gold. She was a member of the WA State 19/U Team which took home a silver medal from the National Netball Championships and she was nationally categorised at the tournament as well.
She was also part of the West Coast Fever Reserves Team which represented the Club at the 2023 Australian Netball Championships.
Head Coach Dan Ryan said: “Georgie Cleaver is another WA pathway product who has been developed through our club system. We’re excited to welcome her into the Fever environment to test her skills and talent at the next level.
“She’s been a standout performer at National underage competitions for the past few years and her focus this year will be to transfer that at an open age level.
“She’s a really gifted athlete that can play both shooting positions and also on the wing. Her best attribute by far is her competitive spirit and instincts, she’s loves the contest and I’ve seen her really lean into those tough situations and take it on, which is what you want to see in your developing athletes.”
Cleaver joins fellow Training Partners Ruth Aryang, Zoe Cransberg and Emma Putt in the Fever environment for this season.
