Aryang is continuing her recovery from an Achilles injury sustained in April 2025.
Brown’s signing provides her the opportunity to train full-time within the Fever environment and prepare for the 2026 season, should Aryang be unavailable at the start of the year.
Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said Brown’s selection is a testament to her hard work and consistent performance.
“Caitlyn’s development over the past couple of seasons has been enormous,” Francis-Bayman said.
“She has claimed three of the past four Jill McIntosh Medals in the GIG WA Netball League, excelled for the Fever Reserves, and when she stepped onto the SSN court last season, she looked right at home.”
Francis-Bayman said Aryang’s recovery for her season ending Achilles injury was progressing well and it is a step-by-step process.
“The exact timeline for Ruth’s return remains uncertain even though she keeps ticking boxes each and every week in rehab.
“Bringing Caitlyn in now ensures she can train with the squad throughout pre-season and, work seamlessly in our defensive combinations until Ruth is back to full fitness.”
