Burton steps into the 10 in place of Olivia Wilkinson, who injured her ankle during the Ballarat Blitz and is expected to miss the first part of the season.
The Goal Attack entered 2026 as a Fever Training Partner for a third season and has extensive experience with the Comets in the Gold Industry Group WA Netball League, where she was a member of the Club’s Open premiership team last season.
Burton has also played overseas, completing one season with Team Bath in the UK Netball Super League in 2024.
Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said Burton’s strong pre-season form had made her a natural replacement for Wilkinson.
“We have all been impressed with how Sloan continues to grow her game in the West Coast Fever environment,” Francis-Bayman said.
“We’ve seen her ability at Goal Attack throughout the pre-season and she now has an incredible opportunity to test her game at SSN level.
“She is a confident shot from super shot range and that gives us great flexibility as we prepare for the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday at RAC Arena.”
Should Burton step onto the court on Sunday, it will mark her National League Debut.
