West Coast Fever Captain Courtney Bruce and Goal Shooter Jhaniele Fowler were both named in the Nissan Net Points Team of the Week after playing key roles in Fever’s thrilling one-point win over the NSW Swifts in Round 13.
Bruce recorded 14 deflections, 9 gains, 6 rebounds and an intercept to tally 114.5 Nissan Net Points, while Fowler scored 64 goals and collected 5 rebounds and 2 pickups to notch up 122 Nissan Net Points.
Their efforts helped Fever claim a 73-72 victory at Ken Rosewall Arena to secure second place on the Suncorp Super Netball ladder.
Nissan Net Points are Suncorp Super Netball’s stats-based scoring system, run by Champion Data, that measures every player action on the court.
Points are allocated for every statistic and if players make mistakes or cause turnovers, they lose points. At the end of the game, each player receives an individual Nissan Net Points score, which represents their contribution to the match.
