West Coast Fever book-ends Courtney Bruce and Jhaniele Fowler moved into the top two positions on the Nissan Net Points leader board after playing key roles in Sunday’s 77-69 win over the Queensland Firebirds.
The Fever duo both featured in the Round 3 Nissan Net Points Team of the Round, with Fowler notching up 91.5 Nissan Net Points to retain first place on the competition leader board with a total of 288, while Bruce added 77 to increase her total to 276.
Fowler’s Round 3 statistics included 52 goals, one Super Shot, and 2 rebounds, while Bruce recorded 7 gains, 5 intercepts, 2 deflections and 2 rebounds.
Their efforts helped Fever remain undefeated after the opening three rounds of the Suncorp Super Netball season.
Nissan Net Points are Suncorp Super Netball’s stats-based scoring system, run by Champion Data, that measures every player action on the court.
Points are allocated for every statistic and if players make mistakes or cause turnovers, they lose points. At the end of the game, each player receives an individual Nissan Net Points score, which represents their contribution to the match.
