West Coast Fever defender Stacey Francis-Bayman was last night named in the England Roses squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, less than 24 hours after earning a place in the Nissan Net Points Team of the Week.
Francis-Bayman played a great game at Wing Defence in Fever’s win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds last Saturday night, to help them claim top spot on the ladder at the midway point of the season.
She disrupted the Thunderbirds attack throughout the contest to notch up 42 Nissan Net Points with 2 intercepts, 2 deflections, 2 gains and 3 pick-ups.
She will be an important part of Fever’s team for the remainder of the Suncorp Super Netball Season, which finishes approximately a month before the Commonwealth Games commence in Birmingham on July 28.
Fever's next game is at home against Collingwood Magpies at 12pm WST on Sunday, May 8.
Tickets are available through Ticketek.
