Fever couldn’t hold off a Thunderbirds comeback in Adelaide, as the top of the table side mustered a spirited comeback to win by a goal.
The loss was Fever’s fourth defeat of the season, all of which were by just a single goal.
Anstiss said while the losses were disappointing, the team was working hard to improve.
“It's definitely very frustrating, particularly losing by the one goal,” she said.
“We've definitely learned a lot from those losses. It is going to put us in a good position when we get into the finals, being in those pressurised games and knowing what we can do differently.”
Fever now sit six points behind both the Swifts and Thunderbirds and will need to win their final three games of the regular season for a shot at a top two spot.
Anstiss said she has full believe her team can make a good run of form to close the season and they will focus on their own game.
“The aim is to get to second on the ladder and to be able to have that double chance in finals,” she said.
“We just need to control what we can control, and that is winning the next three games and putting us in the best position that we can get on the ladder.”
Fever will face Lightning this weekend at RAC Arena in a game that could seal the home team’s spot in finals. A win is all Fever need to secure a fourth consecutive finals campaign.
Anstiss said Fever’s 10-goal win last time the sides met gave her side belief, but they will still need to utilise their home ground advantage.
“We definitely take confidence from that game but we know Lightning have also grown a lot over the last couple of weeks.
“Knowing that they'll also come in with a lot of confidence, we just need to be able to use our Green Army to help us get across the line.”
With one eye on finals, Anstiss said she was happy that Fever were staying in the contest despite not playing their best netball.
“We’ve had a couple of close losses but we're not far off the mark,” she said.
“The fact that we aren't playing our best netball yet and we're still able to get the wins on the board and only those small losses, means there’s lots of confidence coming into finals and hopefully we’ll peak at the right time.”
