HCF is celebrating the teams behind the teams who go above and beyond each week to support our netball community.
Young defender, Olivia Lewis talks to us about her netball hero, her Dad.
“My Dad has always encouraged me to do my best and he has barely ever missed a game,” Lewis said.
Going above and beyond, Lewis said that her Dad would get up at 4am to drive her to netball training before heading to work himself.
“Getting up at 4am to take me to training and then having to go to a full day of work must’ve been exhausting, but he was always willing to do it,” Lewis said.
Lewis said that she fell in love with netball from the moment she started playing at age seven with the Bandits Netball Club in Rockingham.
“I loved netball from my first ever game. The relationships I’ve built through the sport and having the opportunity to push myself on a daily basis is just the best feeling ever,” Lewis said.
As a proud partner of West Coast Fever and Netball WA, HCF is celebrating all the teams behind the teams who go above and beyond each week to support our netball community, from grassroots to elite level.
