A host of West Coast Fever stars will head to grassroots netball this weekend, when they visit local Perth Associations, inspiring the next generation of Fever players.
Midcourters Jess Anstiss and Ingrid Colyer will join shooter Alice Teague-Neeld at Swan Districts Netball Association on Saturday, while Verity Charles, Jhaniele Fowler and Kaylia Stanton will visit the Perth Netball Association.
Captain Courtney Bruce will return to her local Association, Southern Districts, alongside Shannon Eagland and Stacey Francis.
All athletes will be at their respective Associations from 11am to 12.30pm.
Bruce said it was a wonderful opportunity for the squad to visit our community.
“We’re looking forward to visiting our Associations on Saturday morning and seeing the next generation of Fever stars on the court,” Bruce said.
“Our WA netball community have been incredible supporters of West Coast Fever over the course of the season, so being able to get out to the grassroots is a small way of us saying thank you for their passion and pride.”
“Our purpose is to inspire and make you proud, so we’re excited to meet a number of Fever Members and fans on Saturday morning, and see some fantastic netball as well.”
The visits are Fever’s latest activities in the community, with Olivia Lewis spending time in Leonora with Shooting Stars participants, while Verity Charles and Courtney Bruce will head to the Shooting Stars sites in the Midwest and North West respectively, over the coming months.
West Coast Fever has opened its registration of interest portal for 2020 memberships, with the Club already seeing strong numbers. For more information and to add your name to the growing list, click here.
