Jae was in the race to 9,000 goals alongside fellow Jamaican Sunshine Girl Romelda Aiken-George, who will likely also hit the milestone this weekend.
Jae said hitting such a high milestone means a lot to her after playing the game for some time.
“I’m very pleased and happy for that accomplishment. It’s always good to come out on top,” she said.
“Romelda and I are very good players and whilst we’re friends, we always want to keep that friendly rivalry going and achieving in our respective positions.
“She will definitely get there, her volume is really high so I’m not thinking I will be holding that 9000 for long, I’m looking forward to some company.”
The Fever Goal Shooter currently sits third on the Goal Scorers list with 290 goals, at an average of 58 goals per game.
Jhaniele and her Fever teammates will return to RAC Arena this Sunday to face the Queensland Firebirds. Tickets available on Ticketek.
