West Coast Fever will hit the road in Round 11, traveling to Sydney to take on the NSW Swifts after producing a stunning fightback in Round 10, defeating Sunshine Coast Lightning by a goal for the second time this season, at HBF Stadium.

The back and forth encounter had everything a netball fan would want in a match; big hits, courageous acts, fiery banter and a close finish ending with the home team coming away with a win.

While the heart-stopping win put Fever three points clear on top of the ladder, the Swifts season hangs in the balance, sitting sixth with five wins and five losses.

Fever burst into action in the second quarter after a sloppy start to the game, outscoring their opponents 45-40 in the final three quarters and outmuscling the Lightning on a number of occasions, with Jess Anstiss, Courtney Bruce and Nat Medhurst all putting their bodies on the line when needed.

The Swifts have lost three matches in a row to sit seven points out of the top four, However, their last win did come against last year’s premiers, showing that they can be damaging when playing the game on their terms.

Fever last met the Swifts in Round 4 at HBF Stadium, where an explosive first half saw the Fever take home a nine-goal win.
