Bruce named VenuesWest Brand Ambassador

West Coast Fever Captain Courtney Bruce is one of four of Western Australia’s high performing athletes selected for the second year of the VenuesWest Brand Ambassador Program.

Bruce was announced as an Ambassador at an event at HBF Stadium this morning, alongside fellow West Australian athletes Sarah Edmiston (athletics), Nina Kennedy (athletics) and Conor Leahy (track cycling).

The 24-year-old has had a rapid rise in the past 18 months, making her Samsung Diamonds debut last year, before becoming Fever’s first West Australian Captain earlier this year.

Bruce is a product of the Netball WA athlete pathway, having begun her netball journey at Southern Districts Netball Association, before representing the State at 17U, 19U and 21U level.

West Coast Fever and Netball WA have long enjoyed a strong relationship with VenuesWest, with Fever playing at Perth Arena and HBF Stadium and training at the state of the art State Netball Centre in Jolimont, where Netball WA is also based.

The West Australian said she had been utilising VenuesWest venues since she was 16.

“I feel grateful for the opportunity to be a VenuesWest Ambassador, and I have been lucky enough to use their facilities throughout my entire netball career thus far and they are world class,” Bruce said.

“I am excited to give back and help support and motivate the next generation to be involved in all sports and realise their potential.”

West Coast Fever return to HBF Stadium this weekend to face the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the League’s inaugural Indigenous Round. Limited tickets remain here.
