West Coast Fever trio Jess Anstiss, Verity Charles and Kaylia Stanton have been selected for the 2018 Fast5 World Series in Melbourne this October.
The two-day event will start on Saturday October 27 with Australia taking on Malawi from 11:45 AWST, with the finals hosted on the Sunday.
The tournament will also feature South Africa, England, New Zealand and Jamaica.
West Coast Fever and Australian Fast5 Head Coach, Stacey Marinkovich said she was excited to once again lead the national team and will be aiming to go one step further from their 2017 campaign.
“Fast5 is an action-packed version of netball and the opportunity to utilise players long range shooting talents is one of the factors which makes this format so unique,” Marinkovch said.
“I believe we have selected a team that can play with speed and create defensive pressure that will prove to be a real threat during this tournament.”
“I’m also pleased for Verity, Jess and Kaylia, who all have worked hard over the Suncorp Super Netball season.”
Fast5 is netball like you’ve never seen before; featuring dynamic rules changes including five players a side, shorter quarters, and power plays.
